Miles Morgan Travel, a specialist travel agent with 12 stores in Wales, Gloucestershire and South-West England, has implemented IMX Software’s GTS-Retail currency point of sale system in line with its drive to improve the performance of its retail foreign exchange trading service. The travel agent selected the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version of GTS Retail as a replacement for an ageing legacy branch system.

Miles Morgan Travel won the 2012 and 2013 Travel Agent of the Year Award for the South West, Wales and the Midlands as well the Best Travel Agent in the UK in 2013. The company needed a flexible and modern business solution to keep up with an aggressive growth strategy that has seen it open at least one new store a year since 2012.

IMX Software’s SaaS-based solution will help Miles Morgan Travel to boost transaction performance and lower operating costs while complying with central bank, know your customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) laws and regulations. The solution will enable Miles Morgan to reduce human error and speed up transaction times when managing cash, travellers’ cheques, prepaid cards, serialised and non-serialised stock, money orders and foreign banknotes at the point of sale.

GTS Retail provides Miles Morgan Travel with powerful inventory control management and streamlines the process of fulfilling orders for exotic currencies via third party suppliers. Miles Morgan Travel now also has a centralised view of stock and its cash position across all branches.
