IMX Software Celebrates 20th Anniversary

IMX Software, the global leader in banknote trading and travel money technology solutions, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. IMX was founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 1991 as a specialist travel money technology consultancy and created its first bureau de change point-of-sale solution for American Express.

IMX went on to launch the first windows-based foreign exchange point-of-sale application in 1997 and quickly attracted customers worldwide. Now operating from its new head office in London, IMX’s solutions have enabled more than 100 organisations around the globe to reach new customers, automate operations, improve processes and meet significant compliance obligations in the areas of wholesale banknote trading, currency distribution and retailing foreign exchange.

Bill Tickner, Chief Executive Officer, looks back at IMX Software’s success and gives an insight into what the future has in store for the organisation. “This important anniversary is a clear testament to the strength of our client relationships, products, service quality and staff.

Over two decades we have built significant specialist experience working with key foreign currency businesses around the world – including global banks, national travel agencies and FX retailers. As demand for physical currency continues to grow, we have evolved our solutions to meet the changing demands of security, compliance, alternative sales channels and technology advances. In recent years we have been investing in Global Trading System (GTS), a new product platform that seamlessly integrates 20 years of hands-on banknotes and currency experience across wholesale, e-commerce, retail point-of-sale including antimoney laundering support, branch fulfilment and logistics.”

IMX Software has always strived to stay at the forefront of technological advances and the coming months will see the formal launch of GTS, a multi-million dollar new product development that will support its client operations for the next decade or more.

IMX has offices in the UK and Australia and will be expanding into new geographical markets to support global growth in banknote trading and distribution.
